BioFire Sputum Pneumonia (PN) Panel

The BioFire FilmArray Pneumonia (PN) Panel is a PCR-based test that helps identify a wide range of bacteria and viruses associated with pneumonia and other lower respiratory tract infections. It is considered to be more sensitive than culture as the panel detects nucleic acid instead of living organisms. The test can identify 33 targets, including 26 pathogens and seven antimicrobial resistance markers.
