Mantoux tuberculin skin test (TST) detects if you have been infected with tuberculosis (TB) bacteria. It is used to find out latent TB. Latent TB may not show any symptoms as the bacteria are ‘sleeping’ or dormant. It is done by injecting a small amount of PPD tuberculin into the skin of your forearm. A patient with latent TB infection may develop a hard red bump at the injection site. Please find out the Mantoux test price at HOD centre near you.
